Dreamy Wedding at Montalto Castle

Dreamy wedding at Castello di Montalto

A. & T. at Castello di Montalto, Tuscany

Finally, despite the Covid pandemic that forced them to postpone two or three times, A. & T. had their dream wedding at Montalto Castle. In the end they decided to have their wedding even though they had to quarantine in Italy, as they come from the UK. Luckily most of their family members and friends came from the US, France and Italy. A. & T. were among the bravest couples, and despite the situation they’ve been light-hearted throughout — it was a fantastic journey working with them.

The couple visited several venues when in Tuscany and immediately fell in love with Castello di Montalto. It is honestly very easy to be strongly impressed by this venue. At the arrival you see this jewel peeking out from the middle of the woods, surrounded by green fields with an amazing view. Chiara, the manager of the Castle, is extremely welcoming and efficient, so couples always spend really nice words for her and her work.

The Castle is historical and still has its fortified walls, battlements, towers and an amazing courtyard with an intimate Catholic chapel. It really is the perfect venue if you are looking for a genuinely romantic Tuscan wedding.

This wedding at Montalto Castle was the perfect mix between romance, laughter, and touching moments. Their wedding theme was simple and elegant — the ceremony was held in the garden overlooking the Castle, with a round arch by the expert hands of Floricanto flower designer. The flowers consisted of dahlias, hydrangea, roses and greenery. Surrounded by this beauty, they pronounced their vows in front of their families and friends and became husband and wife.

After the ceremony guests were offered a fantastic aperitif by Il Sorriso caterer in the Vescovo area, and had a lot of fun with La Machine Photobooth. During the aperitif the couple had a more intimate photo session with just the photographer, the videographer and their lovely dog. The reception was held in the castle’s courtyard, where three rectangular tables formed a U-shape for a typical family-style dinner, filled with flowers, candles and refined stationery by Tuscan Lab.

While guests enjoyed the aperitif and dinner, the team led by Lorenzo Zanobetti set up the dancefloor, string lights and DJ set in the same garden where the ceremony was held. Guests were amazed by the change of scenery, and the couple cut the amazing two-level American-style cake by Sugar Cups, with buttercream and limoncello cream. The DJ was accompanied by a saxophonist, making the music performance dynamic and exciting.

It was a day to remember and it was definitely worth the wait.
