Dreamy Wedding at Montalto Castle
Dreamy wedding at Montalto Castle
Finally, despite the Covid Pandemic that forced them to postpone two or three times, A. & T. had their dream wedding at Montalto Castle.
In the end they infact decided to have their wedding even though they had to quarantine in Italy, as they come from UK. Luckily most of their family members and friends came from US, France and even Italy. A. & T. were among the bravest couple, and they proved it during this very difficult year. Despite the situation they’ve been light-hearted and it was a fantastic journey work with them to their wedding in Tuscany.
I meet A. and his dad in Florence at the end of 2018. We had a lovely lunch at a nice Florentine Osteria in the city Centre, and I still can’t forget the tasty risotto, uniquely served in a Parmesan Wheel.
We had a long conversation about the bureaucratic process to have a civil ceremony in Italy, as A. has dual citizenship (US and Italian) and had more options to choose from, compared to the forced process than citizens with just one passport have to follow.
The couple visited several venues when in Tuscany and they immediately fell in love with Castello di Montalto.
It is honestly very easy to be strongly impressed by this venue. At the arrival you see this jewel, peaking out from the middle of the woods, surrounded by green fields with an amazing surrounding view. Chiara the manager of the Castle is extremely welcoming and efficient, so couples always spend really nice words for her and her job.
The Castle is historical and still has its fortified walls, battlements, towers as well as an amazing courtyard with an intimate catholic chapel. It really is a perfect venue if you are looking for a genuinly romantic tuscan wedding.
This wedding at Montalto Castle was the perfect mix between romance, laughter, and touching moments.
Their wedding theme was simple and elegant, they choose to have the ceremony in the garden overlooking the Castle, with a
round arch done by the experts hands of Floricanto flower designer.
The flowers of the wedding consisted of dalias, hydrangea, roses and greenery. Surrounded by these beauty they pronounced their wows in front of their families and friends and became husband and wife.
After the ceremony the guests were offered a fantastic aperitif by Il Sorriso caterer, in a space overlooking the castle entrance and courtyard, the Vescovo area, and they also had a lot of fun taking pictures using La Machine Photobooth. During the aperitif the couple had a more intimate photo session with just the photographer, the videographer and their lovely dog.
The reception was held in the castle’s courtyard, where 3 rectangular tables formed a U shaped, for a typical family style dinner. Tables were filled by flowers, candles and refined by stationery by Tuscan Lab.
We’re sure that when the wedding couple will look back to their Wedding at Montalto Castle photos in 20 years they will feel the timeless beauty of a romantic and elegant wedding, that was not just above any trend.
While guests were enjoying aperitif and dinner the fantastic team of technicians lead by Lorenzo Zanobetti was setting up the dancefloor, string lights and dj set in the same Garden where the ceremony was held.
When guests moved to this area after the dinner they were amazed by the chance of scenary, and the couple cut the amazing two level, american style cake, done by Sugar Cups, with butter cream and a limoncello cream. After the delicious cake and a sweet toast for the newlyweds, the party started.
The Open barn was direclty managed by Montalto Castle and it was placed in the same Garden, so guests did not have to leave the dancefloor.
Bride and Groom offered a specific list of cocktails, that were mixed by Montalto Barman.
The Dj was accompanied by a saxophonist: when they play together the music performance becomes very dynamic and exciting, as it is able to combine the energy of the dj set with the enthralling sound of the sax.
It was a day to remember and it was definitely worth the wait.
We really cannot look forward to plan the next wedding at Montalto Castle
