3 days event at Villa Catignano

Villa di Catignano is one of the most requested wedding venues in Tuscany. It has a lot of charm, because it is very genuine and it combines two different styles: the Neoclassical Villa and the Rustic farmhouse, both elements that characterize real Tuscany.

The Villa is situated in the Chianti area, just 10 kilometers outside the Siena city center, indeed from Villa Garden it is possible to see the Siena skyline, nestled on the top of the hill.

As mentioned the Venue is composed by two different buildings: the main Villa from the 17^th Century and the Farmhouse, that was dedicated to the production of olive oil and wine. Nowadays the owners personally welcome Villa Catignano guests to vacation apartments, all renovated respecting the original architecture and style. Both buildings offer accommodation: the farmhouse has typical Tuscan countryside apartments and the Villa has seven apartments with original frescos and paintings.

The Villa can accommodate up to 80/90 guests in total. This is extremely important in some cases, because it means that this venue is ideal also for couples with a bigger number of guests, as most of them can sleep at the Villa, to be able to enjoy three or four nights all together.

This Villa is the perfect place for gala dinner as well, as it has two big halls one that can accommodate 120 guests and another one that is good for 80 guests, so the plan B in case of bad weather is really convenient.

Of course the Villa mainly has breathtaking outdoor areas: the courtyard in front of the Villa, where it is possible to host the wedding dinner; the courtyard in front of the fattoria, where the welcome dinner can be arranged; the Italian gardens, looking the Chianti hills, where ceremonies and aperitifs are generally set up. Plus there is another garden that can be used, for brunch or welcome dinner. as it has a rustic chic vibe.

Catignano Villa also includes a private Chapel, that can host around 50 guests, where Protestant ceremonies can be celebrated.

A couple we arranged the wedding for a couple of years ago, at this same Villa, decided to host their wedding anniversary there, inviting all their wedding guests again. They booked the entire Catignano Villa for one week and they hosted four food events. The first was a welcome drink at the guests arrival, including a Tuscan buffet. The open bar was managed by Event’in, their beautiful bar counter looks like it was made thinking of this Villa courtyard. This first gathering was an informal event, not a sit down meal, just to welcome the guests and have them find some food and drinks at their arrival, having the opportunity to meet and chat with all together and start the party.

The other three events were three sit down meals, and the wedding couple decided to characterize these three different moments using three colors, in particular they chose the three colors of the Italian Flag: green, white and red.

The first dinner was the Green Night. The dinner was arranged in the Villa courtyard, with an Imperial table for 50 guests.

The dress code was still relaxed, but every guests was kindly invited to wear a green item of clothing or an accessory.

Wedding music and lights provided the string lights decor, that gave this area a romantic vibe, ideal for this al fresco dinner. Stiatti flowers team took care of the floral decorations: the imperial country table was decorated with a romantic but rustic look, using Olive trees, and touches of aromatic herbs such as sage, rosemary, thyme, and lavender.

It was just the typical Italian al fresco dinner with a real Pizza oven, and a Pizzaiolo doing live Pizza in front of the guests, wine and beer, all was served by ClassRicevimenti. To finish off the familiar atmosphere there was typical music by a Folk trio composed by accordion, guitar and violin, performing the most popular Italian songs.

The second dinner was the White Night. This dinner took place in the Farmhouse courtyard, an area that is opposite from the Villa courtyard. Everything, including the country tables, the Chiavarina chairs and the mise en place were totally white. The tables were set up in a sun rays shape and in the middle of the tables there was a big white spheric moon light, by Wedding Music and Lights. The florist used different sizes of glass vases, with gorgeous white Hydrangeas as centerpieces. The dress code for the night was obviously total white.

The main and last event was on the third day, and it was the Red Night. The dinner was again in front of the Villa, with a long imperial table. The set up included Toscana brown chair, white table cloths and vintage glass under-plate. The floral decoration was majestically arranged by Stiatti team and it was totally red. The red, in a deep and very passionate hue, was a very brave choice but the results was fantastic. The dress code of the night, for all the guests, was of course red.
