Stunning wedding at Villa Pizzo

Ling and Eric are pretty familiar with Italy, and they really wanted to celebrate their wedding in Como lake, due to its closeness to Milan. We met one year before the actual wedding to visit some venues together and after two lovely days in Como lake area their choice was pretty obvious. They decided to have their stunning wedding at Villa Pizzo, that is an historical property located between Cernobbio and Moltrasio.

Not only they loved the villa at first sight for the architecture and the outdoor dinner area overlooking the lake, but they totally fell in love with the amazing Darsena terrace and the superb lake side gardens, being able to offer different atmospheres for each part of the event.
The gardens that extend on the left and right side of the Villa have an Italian arrangement, tidy paths that go through flowerbeds, and baroque fountains. The upper side, that is the walkway to the Darsena, offers a succession of exotic plants, orchids and other rare flowers that climb from the steep cliff. The walkway under maritime pines is just incredible.

On the day of the wedding at Villa Pizzo the bride Ling and her bridesmaids got ready together, enjoying la Dolce Vita while sipping a typical spritz, wearing lovely matching floral robes.
The first look was shoot at Villa Pizzo, in the gardens around the limonaia, next to the main building. It was a very intimate and sentimental moment.
We clearly remember their excitement and joy when they saw each other and by doing so they wer able to have a sweet moment together before the ceremony started.
The Darsena backdrop was just perfect backdrop for the blessing, it was exactly what they were looking for.
The guests invited to this wedding at Villa Pizzo reached the terrace after a welcome drink at the Ninfeo, then they could enjoy the view of the lake and take pictures from the beautiful walkway through the gardens and having a peaceful walk towards the ceremony area, that was decorated to match the Villa gardens vibe.
The color palette was in tune the color of the Villa and melted with the surrounding.
Huge organic flowers compositions enhanced the look of the already stunning terrace without stealing the thunder.
The bridal party couples entered first, followed by the groom and then the bride, both escorted by their parents with a string trio to accompany the ceremony.
This wedding at Villa Pizzo was celebrated by one of the couple’s closest friends, and he was able to make it funny and romantic at the same time.
At the end of the ceremony all the guests were happy to walk back under the shades of the trees to reach the Italian gardens, where the aperitif took place.
Ling & Eric wanted to go very timeless with it, and chose the string trio to accompany the aperitif as well.
Under one of the biggest trees we were able to hand a wood swing for the guests to have fun and take pictures to share.
Meanwhile the bride and groom had a photo session walking around the villa gardens together with the bridal party.
The Italian food and drinks were much enjoyed by everyone, chilling on sofas overlooking the lake, but it was not hard to convince them to move to the close by dinner area.
Since we started to plan their wedding at Villa Pizzo Ling and Eric expressed the will to have a wow lighting for the dinner set up, so together with Blunotte eventi we designed a customized lighting solution for them, taking in to account the fact that they wanted to make a dancing entrance at dinner, together with the bridal party. It surely was a moment to remember.
The dance routine was followed by a round of touching speeches and then the dinner started.
Eating great Italian food, listening to great music, under romantic bulb lights, overlooking the lake this is what a wedding at Villa Pizzo is about.
The bride and groom also requested two special signature drinks: a delicious Lemon Drop Champagne Punch for her and a Long Island Tea in a Teapot for him.
After dinner a fantastic enormous wedding cake was cut under a falling tree full of lights, and then the wild dancing started.
